Rune Iversen
Rune is a collaborative leader dedicated to helping clients solve technical engineering challenges in the marine environment. As a committed partner and mentor, he focuses on building and fostering high-performing, multidisciplinary project teams that deliver innovative and long-lasting solutions. He specializes in delivering solutions for floating and fixed near-shore and offshore structures by using his extensive experience inspecting, assessing, rehabilitating, and designing marine structures and mooring and berthing systems. He enjoys mentoring and involving staff in research beyond the realm of his projects, paving the way for advancements in the industry through organizations that help shape guidelines and standards of practice, including ASCE’s Coasts, Oceans, Ports & Rivers Institute (COPRI) and the World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC). Of note, he is the vice chair of the COPRI Ports & Harbors Committee, chairs the COPRI Mooring and Berthing Task Committee, and co-authored the new Fender Guidelines through PIANC Working Group 211.
