As CEO, James leads SGH’s overall strategic direction and corporate initiatives. His focus is to maintain the continued success of the firm while seeking new ways to advance the profession, our communities, and the careers of SGH professionals. James was formerly the Head of Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics at SGH, responsible for leading the group’s technical strategy, standards for quality and excellence, and team development. He has extensive experience in structural engineering for buildings and enclosures, with work including designing new structures and retrofits for existing buildings, and investigating structural failures and existing conditions. A practicing artist, James brings his creative vision to both his leadership and technical approaches, enabling him to deliver realistic and high-performing solutions.
