SEAOI Honors Rosemarie McClure with Excellence in Engagement Award
The Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI) recently honored Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) Senior Consulting Engineer Rosemarie McClure with the organization’s Excellence in Engagement Award. The honor recognizes Rose for her outstanding efforts to “engage current and future structural engineers throughout the industry to ensure that current and future structural engineering professionals have a positive experience with the profession.” Among her volunteering efforts, Rose is a founding member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations’ (NCSEA) Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) committee, which aims to attract and retain the best talent into our profession.
“I am honored to receive this award and thankful to SEAOI for celebrating efforts to lift up current and future engineers around the industry,” said Rose. “My experiences organizing the SE3 committee and mentoring younger engineers give me a lot of joy and hope for the future of our profession.”
