Why Historic Preservation Matters
February 5, 2020
Our historic buildings hold special significance. Preserving them so we can pass them on in good condition to the next generation is an important public service. We are in the business of doing this for our clients and ourselves, but our neighbors and community members also benefit from these efforts for years to come. These preservation projects are also collaborative and technically rewarding. Whether they are for important buildings like Kresge Auditorium at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, or for entire coastal cities like Annapolis, MD, or Newport, RI, they require bringing together multiple disciplines to tackle difficult restoration problems.
