Giving Back to Improve Our Industry

At Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, we give to our profession in many ways: through technical organizations and code committees, industry improvement efforts, community outreach, and more. These investments in our time and effort help give us a better understanding of where our industry is moving and where it needs to go. I’ve always enjoyed giving back and volunteering my time in ways that I feel are valued. Personally, my experiences organizing the NCSEA’s Structural Engineering Engagement and Equity (SE3) committee and mentoring young engineers-to-be give me a lot of joy and hope for the future of our profession.
