Academy of Geo-Professionals Names Bryan Strohman a Board-Certified Geotechnical Engineer

SGH Principal Bryan Strohman has earned the Board-Certified Geotechnical Engineer (BC.GE) designation from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Academy of Geo-Professionals and Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. BC.GE is the highest post-license certification in the geotechnical engineering profession, given to professionals who demonstrate specialized expertise, strong professional ethics, and a commitment to life-long learning and continuing professional development. This achievement represents Bryan’s commitment to advancing the profession, staying current with the latest technical developments, and working with clients to solve their geotechnical challenges alongside his SGH colleagues.

“I am honored to receive the BC.GE designation and join this impressive group of geotechnical leaders across the industry,” said Bryan. “I look forward to continuing our collective work toward the safety, stability, and reliability of the built environment.”

Bryan is an experienced civil engineer who specializes in overcoming complex geotechnical and structural engineering challenges for critical infrastructure and heavy civil projects involving mechanically stabilized earth walls, deep and shallow foundations, excavation support systems, retaining walls, bridges, drainage infrastructure, and nuclear facilities. He is actively involved in advancing industry standards, serving as Secretary of ASCE’s Embankments, Dams, and Slopes (EDS) Committee and contributing to ASTM International Committees D18 on Soil and Rock and D35 on Geosynthetics.
