SMPS Submission: Women in Engineering Campaign

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) values diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and strives to foster a welcoming and inclusive workplace for our employees and project partners. We recognize that these efforts are essential for the well-being of our team members and vital to the success of the firm. Playing an important role in our DEI initiatives are female engineers, are an integral fabric of our company’s tapestry. We understand that engineering has long been a male-dominated profession and constantly seek to elevate and celebrate the contributions that women make to our field.

International Women in Engineering Day (WIE) occurs annually on 23 June, and in 2022 we took the opportunity to acknowledge the impact that this group has on the AEC industry by turning it into a month-plus celebration. Throughout the summer of 2022, we celebrated women’s contributions and elevated their voices in various ways.
