- Hotel Reservations are booked automatically through the registration link; no need to book separately.
- Extended Stay Option: You may arrive up to three days before or stay up to three days after the event dates (Thursday, January 30 to Sunday, February 2, 2025) at the discounted rate of $309/night (based on availability). Specify your preferred arrival and departure dates on the registration form and we will confirm your extended stay.

- Please arrive by Thursday night and be prepared to participate in activities at 8:00 a.m. on Friday morning.
- Once you have booked your travel, please enter your details here, so we can coordinate carpools.

Airfare and train tickets
- Please book economy-class tickets through Direct Travel/Concur using project number 000100.74-RETR.
- San Diego International Airport is the nearest airport, approximately 16 miles from the Estancia. Please book airfare as early as possible and use major airports for the most cost-effective fare.
Parking
Self-parking is available at the hotel for those traveling by car. SGH will cover the cost of parking using a master account, so you do not need to expense it.

Accommodations
We expect participants to stay at the Estancia from Thursday to Sunday. You do not need to book a hotel room. Once you receive a registration link, you can provide your hotel room preference, and your hotel reservation will be made on your behalf.

General
Do I need to provide a credit card for incidentals?
You will be expected to provide a credit card onsite for incidentals. It is only a temporary hold.
Can I bring my partner?
This event is exclusively for shareholders. To foster meaningful connections and focus on strengthening our relationships, we are unable to accommodate guests.
What should I expect for weather?
La Jolla offers mild winter weather, with daytime temperatures in the mid-60s to low 70s and cooler evenings in the 50s. Rain is rare, but it’s wise to pack a light jacket. Check the current weather here.
How do I share my hotel preferences, dietary needs, and social activity selections with the event organizers?

Travel
Do I need a rental car?
We will host retreat sessions at the Estancia, so a rental car is unnecessary. To minimize transportation costs, we expect participants to carpool as much as possible, both to and from the airport and hotel. Please refer to the travel tracking spreadsheet to coordinate carpooling.
I live in Southern California. Can I drive there and be reimbursed?
Yes. If you are local to Southern California, SGH will reimburse you for parking, tolls, and mileage.

What if I am not interested in any of the Friday activity options?
Friday’s activities are a core part of the retreat program. Several options cater to different interests and energy levels, including low-impact choices like “Lawn Games & Activities” at the hotel. These activities are designed to foster connection and provide a variety of experiences, from relaxed to more active options.
