Glenn R. Bell

Senior Principal and Chief Executive Officer

Glenn joined SGH in 1975 as a graduate engineer and has continuously advanced in his career to become CEO in 1995. Before he attained his current position he was responsible for major works in all areas of our practice: structural engineering, building technology, and engineering mechanics and infrastructure. Under Glenn’s leadership as CEO SGH has grown substantially both in size and service offerings.

Thomas A. Schwartz

Senior Principal, President and Head of Building Technology Group

Tom joined SGH in 1973 and is widely recognized for his expertise in Building Technology. He is responsible for major investigations and building envelope system designs of all types. Under Tom’s leadership, SGH’s Building Technology practice has become a nationally recognized consultancy in all areas of building envelope technology.

Joseph J. Zona

Senior Principal and Head of Structural Engineering and Structural Mechanics

Joe joined SGH in 1976. He oversees projects involving design of new buildings, additions and renovations, investigation of structural adequacy, and failure analysis. As Head of our structural engineering and structural mechanics group, Joe is responsible for the strategic development and operations of all of our work in structural engineering, mechanics, and infrastructure.

Ronald O. Hamburger

Senior Principal and Head of Structural Engineering, Western Region

Ron joined SGH in 2002 with more than thirty years of experience in civil and structural engineering; building design, investigation, and code development; and research. He is an internationally recognized expert in earthquake-resistant design and structural performance evaluation and is widely recognized in the structural engineering community for his leadership in performance-based design.

Paul L. Kelley

Senior Principal and Head of Structural Engineering, Eastern Region

Paul joined SGH in 1979. Paul’s expertise encompasses building structural design, structural failure investigations, waterproofing, concrete technology, construction engineering, tunneling, cost estimating and scheduling, and automation of building condition surveys. He has offered his expert opinions in mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trials to help resolve many construction-related disputes.

Kenneth A. Klein

Senior Principal and Head of Building Technology, Western Region

Ken joined SGH in 1985. He designs and investigates waterproofing on a wide-range of structures from residential and high-rise building to significant historic structures. His work addresses issues related to the integrity of curtain walls, roofs, plaza deck, and below-grade systems. Mr. Klein consults with architects, contractors, and building owners to analyze and repair water intrusion problems and construction defects.

Ronald A. Mayville

Senior Principal and Head of Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure

Ron joined SGH in 2009. He serves as the National Head of SGH’s Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure group. He is an expert in crash energy management for railroad vehicles. His work focuses on structural integrity assessments for several types of structures, including rail vehicles and track, pressure vessels and piping, special-purpose mobile equipment, and defense systems.

Timothy J. McGrath

Senior Principal and Head of Laboratory Services

Tim joined SGH in 1969 and developed special expertise in the design and performance of buried pipelines. With graduate degrees in both structural and geotechnical engineering, he conducts research related to soil-structure interaction analysis. Tim is responsible for the strategic development and operations of all of SGH’s Lab activities.

George W. Reitter

Chief Financial and Administrative Officer

George joined SGH in 2004 with more than thirty years of experience in finance and accounting, primarily in professional service industries. As CFAO, he has overall responsibility for finance, accounting, human resources, legal and risk management, facilities, and administration at SGH. Prior to joining SGH George was the CFO for a leading international risk management, engineering and software company.

Jason P. Heroux

Director of Business Development

Jason joined SGH in 1996 and is SGH’s first Director of Business Development. He developed and leads the firm’s corporate marketing and branding program. Prior to his current role at SGH, Jason was a Business Development Manager with StorageNetworks Inc. (SNI), where he was responsible for developing co-marketed services and negotiating multi-million dollar service agreements.

Julianne C. Nevins

Director of Human Resources

Julianne joined SGH in 1996 and is a certified professional in Human Resources. She is responsible for directing Human Resources for the firm nationwide. Her areas of responsibility include policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, legal compliance, and staff training and development.

Beverly M. Tompkins

Corporate Counsel

Beverly joined SGH in 2003. As Corporate Counsel, Beverly provides legal support, advice and recommendations at all levels of the organization. She also oversees SGH’s Risk Management Department. Beverly ensures the firm’s regulatory compliance with respect to our licensed professionals’ national and international practices. Beverly is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.

Michael N. Kushakji

Director of Information Technology

Michael joined SGH in 1998 and is responsible for the IT Department's vision, planning, and build-out of the enterprise IT infrastructure. His responsibilities include network infrastructure, network security, IP telephony, enterprise storage, and disaster recovery. Prior to joining SGH, Michael worked at Addison-Wesley Publishing Co. in the IT Infrastructure department which supported a 1000-user campus.
