Ridgewood Water Storage Tanks
Ridgewood, NJ
Five 2-MG tanks were constructed for the Village of Ridgewood Water Department over a period of 17 years. The tank walls are wire-wrapped prestressed concrete. The domes of the first two tanks are shotcrete while the domes of the last three tanks are cast-in-place concrete. All five tanks are buried in to various depths.. SGH inspected the tanks' exposed exteriors for cracks, spalled concrete, exposed welded wire fabric, and exposed prestressing wire. While the tanks were full, SGH inspected the undersides of the domes, the inside surface of dome rings, and walls from a rubber raft. We inspected the empty tanks' floors for cracks and settlement, and we noted the condition of various appurtenances.
