Blue Hills Reservoir

SGH is the structural design engineer for the Blue Hills Covered Storage Design-Build Project. The project involved the construction of twin buried cylindrical tanks, each 239 feet in diameter with 32-foot tall including foundation systems, structural floor, columns, walls, roof, piping, and overflow structures. Each tank contains 10 million gallons of water. The project also included a new above-ground building, dams, and associated structures on the Blue Hills Reservation. Landscape architectural features, designed by others on our team, include upland meadows; upland forest and meadow edge (reforestation); shoreline peninsula; walking trails; fencing and gates; site lighting; and landscape plantings.
