As part of the A/E team, SGH analyzed and prepared a detailed design of several Seismic Category 1 structures. The client required advanced engineering analysis in a tight time frame and support of the Combined Operating License (COL) application. They sought a firm that could perform seismic soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses and detailed design for a Category I structure in fewer than six months. SGH performed structural design, detailed seismic soil-structure interaction analysis, seismic fluid-structure interaction analysis, and operating loading analyses for calculating demands used in the design of these structures.
