GKN-II Nuclear Power Plant
Neckarwestheim, Germany
The 1,400 megawatt GKN-II Nuclear Power Plant has been in service since 1988. SGH developed seismic fragilities for safety-related structures and equipment included in the seismic equipment list (SEL) of a KONVOI 1,300 MW nuclear power plant in Germany. This project was jointly conducted by Energy Research Inc., SGH, and MKRavindra Consulting to perform a seismic probabilistic risk assessment (SPRA) study, as required by the German nuclear authority.
